Mike Schuster joined the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University as an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies in 2015. Professor Schuster’s research focuses on intellectual property, with an emphasis how self-interested private parties influence the public domain. His research has appeared in a variety of academic journals, including the Wake Forest Law Review, the Houston Law Review, and the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.

Professor Schuster teaches, or has taught, Patent Law and Managing Investments in Technology, Legal and Regulatory Environment of Business, and Commercial Transactions. Before entering academia, Schuster was an attorney at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, Texas, where he specialized in intellectual property.
